Play Seeks 5.2 Billion Zlotys in Warsaw IPO

The possessor of Poland’s second largest mobile system operator Play, Play Communications, strategies to lift 5.2 Billion Zlotys (almost $1.40 Billion). The company plans to execute this decision in Warsaw in an Initial Public Offering (IPO), it claimed last week.

The flotation might be the largest in Warsaw since 2011, as per the information from Warsaw Stock Exchange. The mobile operator, possessed by Icelandic investor Novator and Greek capital major Tollerton, will trade up to 121,572,621 current shares, or 48.6% of its entire equity, comprising the over-allotment choice. The firm will not subject new stakes.

Play claimed that an utmost price has been decided at 44 Zlotys for each share for institutional and retail sponsors, but official employees will be allowed to buy the stakes for up to 37.4 Zlotys. Play claimed that its disguised market capitalization based on the utmost cost would be almost 11.2 Billion Zlotys, with experts betting it might reach the WIG20 index, including the 20 most liquid and biggest firms listed in Warsaw.

Play mostly fights against France’s Orange and the Polish mobile network functioning  subdivision of Deutsche Telekom. The firm has employed BofA Merrill Lynch, J.P. Morgan, and UBS Investment Bank as international coordinators, as well as DM PKO BP and Bank Zachodni WBK as book building and co-offering co-managers.

Institutional book building commences this week and is anticipated to end on July 13, 2017 when the last costing will be declared. Play anticipates making an entry in the Warsaw exchange on July 27, 2017. Fraction of the IPO profits will be utilized to redeem 500 Million Euros bonds issued by parent company of Play due in 2022. It also intends to give a dividend of 650 Million Zlotys in 2018. “With the IPO we have an extremely high-quality platform to lift financing in upcoming time if essential,” Jorgen Bang-Jensen, Chief Executive of Play, told the media in a news conference.
